Basic Handling and Care of Raptors Course

2 Day Course

This course is a 101 class for anyone who is interested in learning the basics. This includes basic medical, husbandry, diet, enclosures, glove training, record keeping, etc.

 

Setting Up and Presenting Educational Programs

This course will help set up a desired program and help with presentations. Course can be designed for Avian ambassadors or with out. 

 

Training: Beginners Course
32 Hour Course (Two Weekends)

This course offers the basics of training. This course is for anyone interested in training. The course will go over equipment, enclosures, reinforcement, weight, and food management.

 

Training: Intermediate Course

32 Hour Course (Two Weekends)

This course will continue where the beginner’s course left off.  Different methods of training and how to have a successful session will be covered.  This course will prepare the attendees for the advance course.  

 

Training: Advance Course

32 Hour Course (Two Weekends)

Completion of Beginners and Intermediate course is required to register for this course. This course will continue with key elements of training as well as how to design a successful education program for all audiences.

*Disclaimer* These courses are open to anyone interested in training. However, birds that are utilized in these courses are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. In order to handle the attendee must have proof of up to date federal and state permits prior to the start of the course.
